Service

Every journey of your wedding day, planned

A wedding near Geneva often means several places in one day: a town hall, a church or a château, then a reception in the vineyards of Lavaux or on the shores of Lake Geneva.

We prepare the timetable with you, assign the right vehicle to each moment and keep in touch with your wedding planner, so that nobody waits and nobody drives after the party.

How we handle weddings and private events

  • A car for the couple

A spotless Mercedes S-Class, decorated if you wish, with a chauffeur who knows the timing of the ceremony.

  • Guest shuttles

Mercedes V-Class and Sprinter shuttles between hotels, ceremony and reception, with return runs at the hours you choose.

  • Guests arriving by plane

Airport pick-ups for family and friends flying into Geneva in the days before the wedding.

  • Venues around the lake

Geneva, the Lavaux vineyards, the Vaud and Haute-Savoie shores: we scout the access and parking of your venue beforehand.

  • One contact, one plan

A single coordinator and a written schedule shared with you and your wedding planner.

This service is ideal for:

  • Civil and religious ceremonies in Geneva
  • Château and vineyard receptions
  • Guest shuttles between hotels and venue
  • Engagements and anniversaries
  • Private parties and family events
  • Late-night returns after the reception

Weddings and private events at a glance

A wedding day is a carefully timed sequence: getting ready, the ceremony, photos, the reception, and the return of the guests late at night. Around Geneva and Lake Geneva, these moments often take place in several locations, sometimes in two countries. Transport is one of the details that can make the day smooth, or stressful.

Geneva Transfer Booking organises the cars of your wedding or private event from start to finish: the car of the couple, shuttles for the guests, airport pick-ups for family arriving from abroad, and the last returns to the hotels after the party. The same applies to engagements, anniversaries, christenings and private celebrations.

Why the Lake Geneva region is so popular for weddings

The region offers a rare variety of settings within an hour's drive: the Old Town of Geneva and its churches, the parks and villas along the lake, the vineyards of the Geneva countryside and of Lavaux, the castles of the Vaud shore, the medieval village of Yvoire and the lakes and mountains of Haute-Savoie. Many couples come from abroad and invite guests from several countries, who arrive at Geneva Airport in the days before the wedding.

This variety has a practical consequence: distances, narrow roads to some venues, limited parking and border crossings. Planning the transport early avoids surprises on the day.

The car of the couple

For the couple, we provide a Mercedes S-Class in perfect condition, with a chauffeur who knows the timing of the day. The car can take the bride or groom to the ceremony, wait during the photos, then drive the couple to the reception. Decorations can be discussed when booking.

Our chauffeurs are used to these days: they arrive early, keep the car spotless, help with the dress when getting in and out, and stay discreet in the photos.

Shuttles for the guests

Guests are often spread across several hotels, and few of them know the roads. We organise shuttles with Mercedes V-Class vans, for up to six or seven passengers, and the Sprinter, available on request for larger groups:

  • Before the ceremony: departures from the hotels at fixed times, so that everyone arrives before the couple.
  • Between the ceremony and the reception, when the two are in different places.
  • After the party: return runs at the times you choose, for example one in the evening for families with children and one late at night.

No guest needs to drive after the reception, which is reassuring for everyone.

Guests arriving by plane

In the days before the wedding, family and friends arrive at Geneva Airport, sometimes on many different flights. We pick them up with a name sign, follow their flights and drive them to their hotels. You can give us the list of arrivals, and we organise the pick-ups.

How we plan your day

  1. First contact: you tell us the date, the venues, the number of guests and the key times.
  2. A written plan: we propose the vehicles and a schedule for each car.
  3. Coordination: we stay in touch with you or your wedding planner, and adjust the plan as the programme evolves.
  4. Venue check: we look at access and parking for each venue beforehand, especially for châteaux, vineyards and private properties.
  5. On the day: one coordinator is the point of contact for the chauffeurs, so you don't have to manage anything.

An example of a wedding day

Every wedding is different, but a typical day might look like this:

  • Late morning: the chauffeur arrives at the bride's or groom's address with the S-Class, well before departure.
  • Early afternoon: shuttles leave the guests' hotels for the ceremony; the couple's car arrives last.
  • After the ceremony: photos at a viewpoint over the lake or in the vineyards, with the car waiting nearby.
  • Late afternoon: guests are driven to the reception venue.
  • Evening and night: a first return run for families with children, then later runs to the hotels until the last guest.

We write this schedule with you, car by car, and share it with everyone involved.

Venues in France

Many weddings take place on the French side of the lake or in Haute-Savoie. Cars cross the border without difficulty, but each guest should carry a valid passport or identity card. Tell us the exact address of the venue so we can plan the route and the travel times.

Other private events

The same organisation works for other occasions:

  • Engagements and marriage proposals, with a car waiting at the chosen spot.
  • Anniversaries and family celebrations in a restaurant or a private house.
  • Christenings, bar and bat mitzvahs and religious celebrations.
  • Private parties and corporate evenings, with returns at night.

Advice for couples and organisers

Book early. Wedding season, from May to September, is busy, especially on Saturdays.

Plan buffers. Photos always take longer than expected; we include margins in the schedule.

Think of the children. Ask for child seats with the children's ages.

Share the list. A list of guests per shuttle and per hotel makes the day easier for everyone.

Vehicles

A Mercedes S-Class for the couple; E-Class cars for parents or witnesses; V-Class vans for up to six or seven guests; the Sprinter for larger groups, on request.

Booking

Call us or write to us with the date and the venues: we prepare a plan and a quote for the whole day. Single transfers and hourly bookings can also be booked online.
